Emergency School Closing Information

In case it should be necessary to close or delay the start of school, notification will appear on the District 843 home page.  The announcement will also be given to the following radio stations:

Parents and employees can receive automatic e-mails on any changes in the school schedule. To sign up for this free service, or to check status of any closings, they should visit the Emergency Closing Center website at www.emergencyclosings.com.

Pioneer Grove and Mackay Center students and parents may also call the student attendance number at 815-806-4696 to find out if those schools are closed or have a weather emergency day schedule.  The phone line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Students and parents of students attending District 843 classed located in the public schools throughout the Lincoln-Way area or private facilities should contact the student attendance number at those facilities for emergency closing and/or weather related changes in attendance schedules.

In case of an impending storm during the day, students may be sent home early.
