Lincoln-Way Area Special Education District 843
Mission
Through collaboration with school, home, and the
community, Lincoln-Way Area Special Education is committed to support the academic and social expectations of the
Lincoln-Way community by providing quality programs and support for the students we serve in a fiscally responsible
manner.
Lincoln-Way Area Special Education Joint Agreement District 843 is a
special education cooperative encompassing approximately 100 square miles.
District 843 currently provides administrative and educational support to the following school districts:
Located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, District 843 is comprised of the following communities:
Manhattan, New Lenox,
Mokena, Frankfort,
Frankfort Square, and sections of Joliet,
Monee and Tinley Park.
Lincoln-Way Area Special Education Joint Agreement supports its member districts in a variety of service delivery
models. There are presently twenty-eight elementary schools and two high schools, with two additional high schools projected to open in the near future.
